Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using ChainOptics ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). ChainOptics is operated by StackStats Apps LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ChainOptics provides real-time and historical price data, chain health metrics, RSI signals, correlation indicators, and related analytics for digital rail assets via a web dashboard and REST API. The Service is a data and analytics platform only — it does not provide investment advice, execute trades, hold or custody any assets, or act as a broker-dealer.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract to use the Service. By using ChainOptics you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate registration information including a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API key. Notify us immediately at support@chainoptics.io if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to secure your credentials.

5. API Key & Usage

Upon registration you receive an API key tied to your subscription tier. Your API key is personal and non-transferable. You may not:

  • Share, sell, or distribute your API key to third parties
  • Exceed the rate limits associated with your subscription tier
  • Use the API to build a competing price data service or redistribute our data at scale
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limiting, authentication, or access controls
  • Use automated scripts to scrape the dashboard beyond normal API usage

Rate limits: Free 60 req/min, Pro 300 req/min, API 1,000 req/min. Sustained violation of rate limits may result in account suspension.

6. Subscription Plans & Billing

Paid subscriptions (Pro and API tiers) are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Stripe. Charges appear on your statement as StackStats Apps LLC. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the next billing date.

You may cancel at any time from your account's Manage Subscription page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — access continues until then with no prorated refunds. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice.

Failed payments may result in a grace period followed by downgrade to the Free tier if not resolved.

7. Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact support@chainoptics.io within 14 days of the charge and we will review it.

8. Data Accuracy & No Investment Advice

ChainOptics aggregates market data from third-party sources including cryptocurrency exchanges and on-chain data providers. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties regarding the completeness, timeliness, or fitness of price or chain health data for any particular purpose. Data may be delayed, inaccurate, or temporarily unavailable.

Nothing on ChainOptics constitutes investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. You are solely responsible for any trading, investment, or operational decisions you make based on data from this Service.

9. Service Availability

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, emergency remediation, and third-party data source outages may cause temporary unavailability. We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions.

10. Intellectual Property

ChainOptics, its design, interface, documentation, and all content (excluding raw market data sourced from third parties) are owned by StackStats Apps LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Your account data, API usage logs, and subscription information remain your data. We retain it as necessary to operate the Service and as required by law.

11. Prohibited Conduct

  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary algorithms from the Service
  • Using the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Introducing malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Impersonating another user or entity
  • Using the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair it

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We are not liable for any losses resulting from account termination for cause.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackStats Apps LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StackStats Apps LLC from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alaska.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to your registered address or a notice in the Service. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
